- 'Serenity' is a stunning abstract landscape painting on clear plexiglass.
This highly original painting on perspex glass is inspired by the stunning scenery of Scotland, where I grew up.
I painted this art as a mountainscape or hillscape inspired by the Cairngorms range of mountains. Yet some see waves or a seascape. That's the beauty of abstract art. It's all in the eye of the beholder. What do you see? No matter what, beautiful iridescent colours and lush texture result in feelings of serenity, hence the name of this painting.
This landscape painting is created using a mix of techniques with layered acrylic paint to create texture and depth.
Painted on crystal clear plexiglass, this abstract landscape art combines lovely colours - purple, blue, teal, pink, white and green, as well as metallic and iridescent paints.
