This square abstract artwork is painted in a limited palette of gorgeous shades and hues of green, with a bit of teal and a pop of lovely pale pink.
The painting takes me back to a lovely summer trip in the French Alps. Mountain slopes that I had previously experienced covered in snow, and perhaps skied on, were now beautiful green meadows dotted with little pink flowers. Now a place to walk and wander, and bask in the sunlight. So very different in summer than in winter. The light a little softer, and warmer, but still with dramatic scenery, angles and lines.
The result is a very contemporary artwork, full of strong lines and strokes, soft curves and drips and visual textures.
